Nicolas Schmit

Nicolas Schmit (born 10 December 1953) is a politician in Luxembourg.
He studied economics in France. In 1979 he started his political and diplomatic career as an attaché in the Prime Minister's office in Luxembourg. After serving in a number of different posts, in 1991 he became a member of the State Council, and has been Foreign Minister since July 31, 2004.
