Nicolae Kovacs

Nicolae Covaci (in Hungarian "Miklós Kovács") (born 29 December 1911; died 7 July 1977)[1] was a Romanian footballer of Hungarian ethnicity.

For the Romania national football team, he won 37 caps and participated in the 1930, 1934, and 1938 World Cups, being one of five players to have appeared in all three of the pre-war World Cups.[2] (There was also a Romanian squad member named Rudolf Bürger who was selected for three tournaments). Later he also represented the Hungary national football team once under the name Miklós Kovács.[3]
