Nicolás Gabriel Sánchez (born February 4, 1986 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine central defender currently playing for River Plate.

Sánchez came through the ranks of Nueva Chicago, where he made his debut in the Primera Division Argentina during the 2003-04 season. After Nueva Chicago was relegated that season, Sánchez was able to brake through the first team during two seasons in the Primera B Nacional, before returning with the club to the Primera for the 2006-07 season.

After a season which again saw Nueva Chicago relegated, Sánchez earned himself a move to giants River Plate for the start of the 2007-08 season.
