Nicodemus of Palermo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

St. Nicodemus of Palermo (d. 1083) was a bishop. In 1072, he celebrated the entry of Roger I of Sicily in Palermo and the end of the Muslim domain in the city. Because of its fidelity to the new orthodox church, he went out of Palermo. The new political power installed a Roman Catholic bishop in Palermo.
