Nick Twiney (December 11, 1992). One of the 4 lads playing Billy in the current production of Billy Elliot the Musical now showing at the Capitol Theatre Sydney, Australia.

He is the eldest of the four Australian Billy Elliots. 15-year-old Sydney-based Nick Twiney, started dancing at the age of 10. Before Billy, Nick attended 'Shore'. Nick's dance school is the well-respected RGDance located in the Sydney harbour-side suburb of Chiswick; Nick does jazz, tap, ballet and acrobatics.Before Billy, he attended Shore School. Nick was on the silver screen early in 2007 as the only male dancer in the Australian mockumentary film Razzle Dazzle directed by Darren Ashton.

Nick made his debut as Billy Elliot on 12th January 2008 after a delayed start with a broken wrist. London's Corey Snide temporarily joined the Australian cast while Nick recovered.

The other three Australian Billy Elliots are Lochlan Denholm, Rarmian Newton and Rhys Kosakowski.

All four of the original Australian Billy Elliots jointly won the 2007 Best Actor in a Musical at the Sydney Theatre Awards on 21 January 2008.

Due to his voice breaking, Nick's final performance in Billy Elliot The Musical was on May 20th 2008. He was replaced by Dayton Tavares.
