Nick Records

Nick Records was formed to expand Nickelodeon's presence in the music business and create a major music brand for kids and preteens. This group identifies and showcases new and emerging young musical artists, up-and-coming talent from the network, and produces soundtrack and compilations based on Nickelodeon TV shows.
A primary focus of the label is filling a void in the preteen (9-14 year olds) entertainment marketplace by producing music compilations from contemporary artists, original music and performances by popular Nick stars, as well as, talent from Nickelodeon's digital teen network, The N. In addition, the label has established itself in the preschool market, with current releases from Dora the Explorer, The Backyardigans, LazyTown and Go, Diego, Go! filling the children’s charts.
SpongeBob SquarePants Original Theme Highlights, released August 2001, has been certified a GOLD single, by the RIAA Recording Industry Association of America. Dora the Explorer is quickly approaching Gold Album status.
