[edit] Early life
Nick grew up on the west side of Cleveland. During high school, he attended the prestigious St. Ignatius High School, a longstanding Jesuit institution. While there he particularly excelled in drama and school plays and musicals.
[edit] Education
For college, Nick attended The Catholic University of America, majoring in drama and was an occasional ultimate player.
[edit] Career
The summer before he finished college, Nick did an internship in New York City for Marvel Comics. Despite them not having a great deal of work for him and the fact that the internship was non-paying, he put in a solid forty hour work week, greatly impressing his superiors with his outstanding work ethic and creativity. Upon his graduation the following spring, he was quickly hired. Nick has edited many books in the Ultimate Universe, notably Ultimate Spider-Man, The Ultimates, and Ultimate Iron Man (the book for which he brought noted novelist Orson Scott Card to the Marvel fold); Neil Gaiman's 1602 and The Eternals; Supreme Power; The Punisher: Born; and currently edits Runaways. In 2007 he won Marvel Comics' "most creative mustache" award.[2]
