Nick Leason (born 23 August 1968) is a British racing driver currently who drove a Lexus IS200 in the British Touring Car Championship in 2007. He previously entered for the last 2 rounds (6 races) of 2006 at Brands Hatch and Silverstone. Leason achieved a final championship position of 24th, and was the third best driver to do only the last 1/2 rounds of the series, behind Paul O'Neill and Tom Ferrier. Leason announced he would compete in his first full BTCC season in 2007, driving the Daniels Motorsport-run Vauxhall Astra Coupe he had raced in the closing rounds of the 2006 season. However, this project was abandoned during pre-season and Leason was instead confirmed as a driver for BTC Racing in a Lexus teamed with Chris Stockton. He did not race at Croft that year [1] and after persistent reliability troubles decided to abort his full season campaign. He vowed to return at some point[2], but did not.

For 2008 Nick Leason announced he plans to join up with Rick Kerry and Team AFM Racing to race a pair of diesel fuelled BMW 120d's[3], though the team missed the start of the season [4]

Before this, Leason has an extensive CV, although with little racing from 2002-2006, after two previous attempts at gaining a BTCC race seat failed. Concentrating on tin-tops and sports cars, mostly one-make, he has driven Ford cars most often. He has yet to win any championship he has contested.
