Nick Hinton (born on April 29, 1976 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a British singer-songwriter and film score composer.

In November 2003, Hinton won Best Song Of The Month at SongwriterUniverse.com, an online music magazine for showcasing songwriters, headed by music publishing/A&R veteran Dale Kawashima, former Creative Director of Sony/ATV Music. Hinton was interviewed by Kawashima for the website, discussing the winning song 'Watch The World Go By,' his plans for the future, and his plans to release an album in 2004. In February 2004, Raw As The Day was released, an EP that included the songs, 'We've Got It All', 'Watch The World Go By', 'Mary's Lullaby' and 'All That You Are.' Recorded entirely in a home studio, this debut showcased Nick's piano-led pop ballads and mid-tempo guitar rock.

Hinton may be best known for his song, Reeve, an acoustic song which he wrote and recorded in tribute to the late Christopher Reeve. In 2005 he was interviewed about the song by Superman and Christopher Reeve tribute website CapedWonder.com.

On April 24th 2007, Unite 2 Fight Paralysis held their annual Working 2 Walk Rally in Washington DC. Singer and actor Todd Phillips performed Nick Hinton's song, Reeve at the Rally.

In May 2007, Hinton released his second EP, a 3-track CD entitled 'Haunted.' This CD is currently available through iTunes and CD Baby as a digital download. This EP features the songs, 'Scared,' 'Strange Fascination' and 'Reeve.' Since its inception in November 2007, Nick's artist page at MySpace.com has previewed several songs including 'Strange Fascination', 'Scared,' 'Beautiful Angel' and 'Silent Heart.'

According to his official page at MySpace.com, Hinton plans to release another CD in 2008.
