Nicholas (Nicky) Slater (born 6 April 1958) is a British ice dancer. He won the 1976 World Junior Championships with partner Kathryn Winter. He went on to skate with Karen Barber, with whom he won the bronze medal at the 1983 European Championships. Their highest placement at the World Championships was fifth, which they acheieved in both 1983 and 1984. They placed 6th at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Nicholas Slater attended North Cestrian Grammar School in Altrincham.[1] Slater has announced figure skating broadcasts on British Eurosport, and has judged on the British reality TV series Dancing on Ice. Nicky got married in 2007 during the tour to Christianne and has a baby son that was born on the 24th February 2008.
