Nicholas Orem Middle School is a public middle school located in Hyattsville, Maryland in Prince George's County. It is part of the Prince George's County Public Schools system. Six elementary schools feed into Nicholas Orem MS. Upon graduation, the students, go on to Northwestern High School and High Point High School.

As of 2007, enrollment by ethnicity is 60% Hispanic; 37 % African-American/Black; 2.5% Asian; and 0.5% Caucasian. There are 95 sixth, 326 seventh, and 343 eighth graders enrolled at NOMS. Approximately 19% of the students are in the English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) program and over 9.5% of the students receive some form of direct special education services.

Beginning with the 2007-2008 school year, all students were required to comply with a mandatory school uniform policy.
- 6th grade - White shirt; dark blue pants
- 7th grade - Light blue shirt; dark blue pants
- 8th grade - Maroon shirt; khaki pants
