From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicholas Hooper is a British film and television music composer. In the past, he has scored the award-winning BBC productions Land of the Tiger and Andes to Amazon, as well as the TV movies The Tichborne Claimant, My Family and Other Animals, and The Girl in the Café, among others. Hooper won a BAFTA Award for Original Score in 2004 for The Young Visiters and a BAFTA for Best Original Television Music in 2007 for Prime Suspect : The Final Act starring Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren.[1] Prime Suspect: The Final Act was an ITV and WGBH co-production. His highest-profile score to date was for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The announcement that he was to score the film surprised some, as he had not yet composed for a blockbuster movie.[2] Hooper is to score the next David Yates Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.[3]
