The Nicaragua national football team is the national team of Nicaragua and is controlled by the Federación Nicaragüense de Fútbol. It is among the weakest teams of Central America and has never qualified for a major international tournament.

The Nicaraguan national football has never qualified for the World Cup.Their last attempt was in 2005 when Nicaragua lost in the qualifying round to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 4-1 after a 2-2 draw at home a week earlier.

Nicaragua has a negative record with all the eighteen national teams it has played against except for Bermuda (2-0-2), Cayman Islands (1-0-0), Puerto Rico (1-0-0) and Venezuela (0-1-0).
