Nic Pothas (born 18 November 1973) is a South African cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper. In a total of over 250 career matches, he has taken over 500 catches. Pothas is an accomplished batsman, with an average of over 30 and a high score of 165 runs.

He started his career at Transvaal in 1993. During this time, Pothas also played three One Day International cricket matches for South Africa's cricket team in 2000 against Pakistan. In 2002, he moved to England to play for Hampshire where he still remains. He played in the 2005 C&G Trophy final for Hampshire where he made 68 runs for the winning side.

He played club cricket in England for Hoddesdon.

He is now eligible to play for England.

Nic has signed on with the "REBEL" Indian cricket League and will feature in the ICL 20-20 grand chanpionships in India in March 2008
