This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit. The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion. 1. This photo of Nico is from the inlay of The Marble Index, and can thus be seen as a promotional image, released by the copyright holder for public use like this.
2. It is unlikely that a free alternative will be located for this subject, as the person in the photo is deceased.
3. The photo does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute The Marble Index, or any other Nico product, in any way.
4. The photo adds significantly to the article because it shows Nico as she is best known to the general public. It is solely used for informational purpose.
5. The photo is already used on various websites, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it more accessible than it already is.

The logo of the band The Black Angels is based on this photo. The image is used in the article to illustrate that. Also note that the same image is also used in the article about Nico herself (see above rationale), thus minimizing the amount of non-free pictures of Nico.
