[edit] Summary
Picture of a Hawker Siddeley Trident airliner at Nicosia International Airport, abandoned due military conflict.
What used to be Cyprus' main airport has been inoperable and inaccessible since 1974 due to the military conflict between the two ethnic sides on the island. The airport has for more than 30 years been located in a U.N. controlled military zone, and acquiring illustrations is difficult. Since the image is an illustration of tangible consequences of an important conflict in international politics, it is considered fair use for an article describing this facility.
