NIBE industrier AB[1], Markaryd Sweden is a European heating technology company whose business operations are organised in three separate business areas: NIBE Element, NIBE Heating and NIBE Stoves. NIBE Industrier AB (registered office in Markaryd, Sweden) has been quoted on the Stockholm Stock Exchange [2] list since 1997.

NIBE Heating [3] is the market leader for domestic heating products in the Nordic countries, Poland and the Czech Republic. Customers are the RMI sector (Renovation, Maintenance, Improvement) and the new housing market. NIBE Stoves [4] is the market leader in wood-burning stoves in Sweden. Customers are private homeowners in the new and existing housing market and in the holiday homes sector. NIBE Element [5] is the market leader in Northern Europe and a leading European manufacturer of components and systems for electric heating applications. Customers are industrial users and components users.

Nibe is a town and a former municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Nordjylland on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. It is located in a geographic region known as Himmerland. The former municipality covered an area of 185 km², and had a total population of 8,283 (2005). Its last mayor was Jens Østergaard Madsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.

On January 1, 2007 Nibe municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Hals, Sejlflod and Aalborg municipalities to form the new Aalborg municipality.
