Nibbs Carter

Timothy 'Nibbs' Carter (Cleethorpes, 1966), British born bassist for heavy metal band Saxon. He is the most enduring bass player in Saxon history, appearing on thirteen of their albums. Besides he played an important role in the renewal process of the musical style Saxon embraced from 1990 on.

As a session musician with Eddie Clarke's Fastway, which he joined in 1987, he recorded On Target (released in 1988). In 1988 he joined Saxon, after Paul Johnson left during Destiny tour. Due to his young age (at that time he was 22) and dynamic stage presence, he became adored by Saxon fans. He made his recording debut with two live albums, Rock 'n' Roll Gypsies (1989) and Greatest Hits Live (1990).
