Ni-Oh, a buddhist term for a deva king, is an upcoming game from Koei that was to be released for the PlayStation 3 in 2007. It has not been released yet due to unknown reasons. Ni-Oh is set in a warring state era of feuding war lords. The main character is Ni-Oh, a blonde-haired military commander, son of a foreign woman and a Japanese man, he casts himself into a fierce battle to carve destiny.
However, the games section on the Koei PS3 Site has been removed, and no news of the game has emerged for many months. It is unknown if the game is still in development.[1]
There was a report in a 2007 Edition of OPS2 Magazine that Koei have decided to cancel Ni-Oh to concentrate on other projects; Koei have still as of 27th February have not confirmed or denied this report.
