NHS24

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

NHS24 is the name of a 24 hour, confidential on-line and telephone health advice and information service provided by NHS Scotland. The service was introduced in Scotland in 2004.

All calls to NHS24 are initially dealt with by a Call Handler who asks a few simple questions and then passes the call to a Nurse Advisor, Pharmacist, Dental Nurse or Health Information Advisor as appropriate.[1]
