The NHIAA (New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association) is the governing body for competitions among all public and some private high schools in the state of New Hampshire. There are currently 51 schools that have participating football programs throughout the state.

For most sponsored sports, the state is divided into 4 categories by school size: Large, Intermediate, Medium, and Small (L, I, M, S). For football however, there are currently 5 divisions: I, II, III, IV, and V. Below is a list of the schools in each division. This list applies to the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
