Nora Ghbeish Smart is a Ph.D. trained technical writer employed by Dr. Bruce Beutler at The Scripps Research Institute. The laboratory is engaged in large scale mouse mutagenesis screens mainly to find components of the innate immune system. However, many different mouse mutants are isolated in this screen and we are interested in providing these mutants to the scientific community. To that end, every mutation isolated in Dr. Beutler's laboratory is archived on a publicly available website called MUTAGENETIX at http://mutagenetix.scripps.edu. To that end, we would like to elevate awareness of this website and are doing so by writing entries in wikipedia and providing links on relevant pages.
