Ngerekebesang Island (Arakabesan) is an island in the state of Koror, Palau, where the former office of the President of the Republic of Palau used to be located before the capital was move to the state of Melekeok. It has three towns, one is Ngerekebesang, the other is Meyuns, and the last one is Echang, where most Southwest Islanders moved to after a storm struck the southwest islands. It was later resettled.
The town of Meyuns is where the largest hospital in Palau, The Belau National Hospital, is located. Ngerkebesang Island and the Island of Koror are both connected by a structure called a causeway. The causeway has been currently remodelled and it is said that it is the same causeway that was built during the Japanese Era of Palau.
