Gene, you twice now put the abbreviation Em in relation to the distance. justifying it by saying conversion to SI is appropriate. I have a few qualms with this. For starters, there is no indication what Em is by linking to the appropriate definition. Secondly, and I am assuming it is Exameter here, nobody in the astronomical community ever says an object is somany Exameter away. The term lightyear is used without conversion factors ever being mentioned on a routine basis. Although technically Exameter is a SI-"approved" method of saying it, even if something is expressed as being 2 Exameter away, 99 times out of a hundred it would be written as 2X10¹⁸ meter or something along those lines. Those Exa's, yotta's, yochto's etc. are rarely used, especially in "common" usage. (If Em is not Exameter, than disregard above and please explain what it is.)--Kalsermar 15:11, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
