Ngawang Jigdral Rinpoche, known as Pemba Sherpa, is a Nyingma tulku and Samten Choling Monastery’s 3rd reincarnation of founder H.H. Gomchhen Rinpoche on November 29, 1982 in the Sherpa family as His Holiness Terton Thulshik Rinpoche identified. He is presently studying in Acharya (Master Level) under the Taktse Nyingma Institute of Higher Buddhist studies and Research Center. Pemba Sherpa's religious faith is serving the poor and the needy as head lama in the monastery he founded in Khari Khola, Solukhumbu, Nepal.

He studies under His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, H.H. Thulshik Rinpoche, H.H. Taklung Rinpoche, H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Drodrup Rinpoche, H.E. Lachung Rinpoche, H.E. Thubden Palzang Rinpoche, Ven Kempo Pema Sherab, Kenpo Namdrol and especially H.H. Khenchen Rigzin Dorjee Rinpoche.
