[edit] Message for Nexus5 re Computer Park

Hi - I'm guessing you're an ex-Computer-Park person as it looks like you created CP's wikipedia page. See the link I've just added to that page for the discussion group we've recently started for CP alumni.

[edit] Welcome

Hello Nexus5 and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. If you want to learn more,

Wikipedia:Bootcamp teaches you the basics quickly,
Wikipedia:Tutorial is more in-depth, and
Wikipedia:Topical index is exhaustive.

Five Pillars of Wikipedia

Float around for awhile until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. There are also many great committees and groups that focus on particular jobs. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English and Wikipedia:Cleanup for sloppy articles. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy.

There are a few crucial points to keep in mind when editing. Be civil with users, strive to maintain a neutral point of view, verify your information, and show good etiquette like signing your comments with four tildes like this: ~~~~ If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page or ask the true experts at Wikipedia:Help desk. Again, welcome! -- Draeco 21:21, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Angelo_Poliziano_and_Piero_de'_Medici.jpeg

Thanks for uploading Image:Angelo_Poliziano_and_Piero_de'_Medici.jpeg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Octavia_Thurina_Major.jpg

If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Your uploads

If the painting of the work you are uploading predates the twentieth century, please add {{PD-art}} as the license. Thanks ˉˉanetode╦╩ 00:13, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Strange painting

Please see discussion here about Image:Anne Marie Orleans QueenSavoySardinia.jpg. Thanks. Carcharoth 05:34, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Since it appears that this is a placeholder image, I've gone ahead and replaced all instances of its usage with (Image:Replace this image1.svg). Please feel free to revert the change if I'm mistaken or you disagree. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 08:43, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

No thats fantastic, thanks.--Nexus5 21:40, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Computer Park (UK)

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Computer Park (UK), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).
