Every two weeks, a New Zealand Collaboration of the Fortnight (NZCOTF) will be picked using this page. This is a specific topic which either has no article or a basic stub page that is directly related to New Zealand, the aim being to have a featured-standard article by the end of the period, from widespread cooperative editing.
The project aims to fill gaps about New Zealand in Wikipedia, to give users a focus and to give us all something to be proud of. You can find a list of New Zealand articles on the Todo list on the WikiProject:New_Zealand. Anyone who is a registered user, not just New Zealanders, can nominate an article and can vote for the nominated articles.
The selected collaboration is the first nomination that receives four votes within a month of it's nomination. A collaboration must be active for at least a fortnight before another can be selected. All previous collaborations can be found at /History.
Removed nominations can be found at /Removed.
The current New Zealand Collaboration of the Fortnight is None at present. Every fortnight a different New Zealand-related topic, stub or non-existent article is picked. Please read the nomination text and improve the article any way you can. |

[edit] Selecting the next Collaboration of the Fortnight
The winner is the first nominated article with four votes. A new Collaboration can only be selected if the current one has been the active collaboration for at least two weeks.
[edit] Voting
Please vote for as many of the following candidates as you like. Please add only support votes. Opposing votes will not affect the result, as the winner is simply the one with the most support votes (see Approval voting).
Only registered users should vote. Any Wikipedian can vote on this page. You do not have to be a New Zealander. However, if you support a nomination you are expected to contribute to the article if it is selected as COTF.
To enter your votes, simply edit the appropriate sections by just inserting a new line with "# ~~~~". This will add your username and a time stamp in a new numbered list item.
[edit] Nominations
New nominations can be made at any time and should be added at the end of this page. If the page you are nominating already exists, please add {{New Zealand COTF candidate}} to the top of its talk page. This expands to:
New Zealand Collaboration of the Fortnight is a candidate to be the New Zealand Collaboration of the Fortnight. Please comment on the nomination. |
[edit] Considerations for nominations
- Please only nominate New Zealand articles which don't currently exist or need serious work. – also see New Zealand stubs). If you have an article that is not related to New Zealand please use Collaboration of the Week, which is not specific to New Zealand articles.
- Giving reasons as to why an article should become the NZCOTF may assist others in casting their vote.
- Can the wider community easily contribute to the article? Or is it something only a small number of people will know about?
- Check /Removed. If the topic has failed in nomination within a month, then do not re-nominate it.
[edit] Selection
If the article is selected as the NZCOTF, enter the article's complete title at Template:NZCOTF article. The template {{Current New Zealand COTF}} should then be placed at the top of the selected article's talk page. This expands to:
When the article is no longer NZCOTF, please add the following template to the talk page: {{past NZCOTF|start date|end date|year}}
[edit] Pruning
Nominations will be moved to /Removed if they do not receive four votes within a month of being nominated. Items may also be removed if they are inappropriate for nomination (see Considerations... above). Please see the talk page to discuss to changes in pruning policy.

[edit] List of New Zealand feature films
I nominate this article because it's such an awful list. Why? Well lets see.
- There are far to many red links and in alot of cases the blue links link to the wrong article.
- The list is incomplete with a large amount of films missing.
- Inaccurate dates and even names.
- The list is not great to look at.
A list of NZ films can be found at the IMDB and a few other websites such as the New Zealand Film Commissions. This is also a good template to work from.
Year | Name | Cast | Other |

[edit] Otago
Nominated 2007-02-01 Amazingly, this article is not that much more than a stub - considerably smaller than the articles for places within the province like Ranfurly, New Zealand and Milton, New Zealand, and also considerably smaller than the articles for most of New Zealand's other traditional regions.
