[edit] Brown

I see you are spending a lot of time on the matter of A. Brown in the Daily Kos. Why? It doesn't appear to be especially notable. It exists. But lots of stuff exists. It's dumb, but a lot of that stuff exists too. With one exception, this particular entry never became a news item. If you step back from it for a moment, the whole thing looks like a publicity stunt that went flat. That is, it looks like Brown wanted to generate a lot of attention to get his career back in gear, and American media has soundly and roundly ignored him. We should do the same - not for any political reason - but rather because this particular blog entry just doesn't appear to have generated any buzz. By including it in articles, you're basically helping Brown to accomplish his goal - to gain attention. However, Wikipedia's notability guidelines are pretty clear that we don't publish stuff that hasn't already gained attention. Rklawton 04:45, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
