Did you really create this image, or did you just copy it from the this webpage? Kaldari 21:20, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- "Fair game" is absolutely not the same thing as public domain. By putting a public domain tag on the image you are legally asserting Wikipedia's right to use the image without restriction, you are also asserting that the image may be reused by anyone for any purpose (including commercial). Since that image is copyrighted, using a public domain tag is not appropriate. It may be possible for you to use the image under a fair use tag, but be aware that there are very specific rules to follow when using a fair use claim. For further information, please refer to Wikipedia:Image_use_policy, Wikipedia:Image copyright tags, and Wikipedia:Copyrights#Fair_use_materials_and_special_requirements. If there are any other images that you have marked as public domain, which are not, please correct them. Thanks! Kaldari 14:51, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
it will be put back each time you remove it. we can play this game all you want. it is a public domain image and pertains heavily to this topic. remove it once, i put it back, remove it twice, i put it back and report you for blanking topics.
- Why do you believe the image is public domain? If it is public domain, you are welcome to add it, but in order to use the public domain tag you have to show evidence for it being in the public domain, otherwise it will be deleted according to Wikipedia's image use policies. [edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Musiccitystar.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Musiccitystar.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 03:13, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
