I haven't deleted it, I've moved it to the Knitted fabric article. The title of the article you created doesn't comply with article naming conventions, that's all that was wrong. Deb (talk) 12:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Knit stitch
A tag has been placed on Knit stitch, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Knit stitch
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Knit stitch, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Knit stitch. ARendedWinter 15:23, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Reply to question regarding article : knit stitch
The main issue with the article is that Wikipedia is not a how to guide. The content that the article contained on its own also did not assert the notability of the subject. Each article should contain as much information relevant to the subject, while providing the information in an informative manner. A good place to start would be the Wikipedia:Tutorial, if you are unsure how to start the article.
As for the concern about the article being deleted, it isn't. It is currently a redirect to another article. However, even if it is deleted, there is no reason it cannot be recreated once you (or someone else) have more information. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave me another message.
