[edit] Article title

I doubt very much that 'Newt' would have appeared in the film Alien as the actress that portrays her was approximately 18 months old during the time that movie was being filmed. This article should be titled "Newt (Aliens)". -Grammaticus Repairo 23:33, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

There is no inaccuracy. She appears in two films of the Alien film series. Mgiganteus1 00:20, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
You are completely missing the point.
First of all, her role in Alien3 was negligible at best. Second, its already bad enough that we expect a layperson (unfamiliar with the films) to immediately grasp that the word 'Alien' in the article's title refers to the title of the movie. It is therefore absolutely ridiculous to assume that such people would automatically understand that when the term 'Alien' is used, it actually refers to the entire series of films as a whole and not to the specific film entitled Alien (in which 'Newt' does NOT appear).
If you don't like the idea of changing the title to "Newt (Aliens)" in order to reference the film that the character is actually known for appearing in because you feel that would be intentionally misleading because it would exclude the several seconds of important 'Newt' footage in Alien3, then perhaps the article should be titled "Newt (Alien film series)". The fact remains that it is inappropriate for an article with a film character as the subject to have a title that makes sole, specific reference to a film in which the article's subject was not mentioned and did not appear. -Grammaticus Repairo 22:52, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I totally agree with Grammaticus that the title should be changed.70.91.35.27 (talk) 20:48, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Tim
I changed the title. It appears that no one took the initiative. Grammaticus, you are right. We have naming conventions for a reason, and per them the title should be "Newt (Aliens)". We don't alter the name simply because the character has appeared in other films. It's based around her first appearance.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:53, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Henn 10.jpg

Image:Henn 10.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
