[edit] Wal-Mart

OK. Meeples doesn't want to admit it, but the Super Wal*Mart seriously is the economic hub of Newberry. Does anyone else who actually lives here want to discuss this and maybe try to find a source to appease the admins? - 65.5.217.91

My relatives have deep roots in Newberry, South Carolina, and I visit every year. The Super Wal*Mart, is, in all factuality, the economic hub of Newberry, but I'm not certain as to whether or not that information belongs on the page. If it does, it deserves more writing.67.9.107.231 20:25, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

There's little doubt that Wal-Mart is a main source of retail activity in Newberry and for many American small towns, but that phenomenon is addressed at Wal-Mart. There are many other major financial activities such as banking, manufacturing, services, and agriculture. To make an assertion of this nature, we need citable statistics.--Son of Somebody 07:36, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
