[edit] Rebid question
Consider this other example hand:
- ♠Axxx ♥KQxx ♦Jxx ♣Ax : planning to force to game, in either spades or notrump, (or, remotely possibly, diamonds)
It seems clear to me to rebid 3NT, not 2♣ here. Suppose partner has the other example hand which would have bypassed 1♠ (♠Txxx ♥AJ ♦KTxx ♣KQx. Do you really want to be in 4♠? And as noted, if partner has ♠Kxx ♥AJx ♦KQTxx ♣xx, 5♦ is nearly cold, while 3NT is hopeless on a club lead, but can you get there (or to 4♥)? Matchups 18:22, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
