[edit] Abandoned places in and near Tuxedo

I've been to the New York Renaissance Faire, in Sterling Forest, Tuxedo, NY. Across the street from the faire is some sort of abandoned motel, and a half-mile away is a huge once-paved field, that can hold several hundred cars. There seems to be the remains of some type of radio or satellite dish at the end far from the road. Does anyone know what these places used to be, or if there are any other abandoned areas nearby? RK

I've heard that the NYRF was built on the site of an enormous botanical garden from the turn of the century, and would have included that in the article if I had any kind of source to back it up. I was rather hoping that someone with a greater knowledge of the history of the fair and the site would expand on it. Grepowell 22:37, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

I've started doing cleanup on this article. I removed an image off of the top that does not show the topic very well. I also removed the Village Voice article because it is not very useful. I'm going to do some research and get things moving on here. — HelloAnnyong [ t · c ] 04:00, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
