[edit] Mentioning Montreal building

The generally accepted definition of a skyscraper is a building which is approximately 500 feet tall. Calling the NY Life Building in Montreal a skyscraper would then seem to be high praise for a building which has 11 floors. Even by dictionary standards of being a "very tall building" or one that "dominates" its area, this building would fail. I propose reworking this section of the article to make the distinction in these buildings clearer and to add other NY Life Buildings as well, such as the McKim, Mead and White designed New York Life Building in Omaha. "Skyscraper or not" is a side issue. All the noteworthy NY life Insurance Buildings should be mentioned, and if possible a pattern of corporate patronage developed, whether progressive or conservative etc. The point is to create an encyclopedic article, fully covering the title. Go for it! You're the one to do it!--Wetman 04:10, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Created disambiguation page

I've created a disambiguation page for this article and refer to everything as "buildings". That should take care of the issue. The disambiguation page was created because there are three currently known buildings that go under the name "New York Life Insurance Building." In Chicago, Montreal and New York. I think the New York one is the most prominent, so I'm keeping it the primary article. Chupper 17:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
