[edit] Rivals?

Is it really necessary to put "main rivals" on this? I think its not needed, not "factual", and has a POV problem. Benje309 17:38, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Actual players

Must this article list Spike Lee among the names of actual players on the Knicks? They have plenty of celebrity fans. --feitclub 16:18, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] External links

What's with the last External Link? The one about bankrupting the Knicks. Is it necessary? It hardly seems like something that should be here. RttlesnkeWhiskey 04:06, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grammar

There's a lot of names in the "Knicks are the worst organization in the NBA" section that are clearly not basketball players...Chuck Norris? Someone should double-check that part of the article.

The word "would" is used a gazillion times in the article. Can't it be written in a more user-friendly manner? elpincha 22:39, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

Done. Hopefully it would be easier to read now ;). -King 23:15, 4 October 2005 (UTC)

Guilty as charged ;-). But if you thought that my version wasn't user-friendly, then you should have seen the version I had to replace. It was written very poorly, and glanced over the past twenty years or so of the franchise, while it also included a dvd shill as well. I admit that my grammar is bad, but the team does deserve a detailed history. ErikNY 16:02, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Trade..........C, PF....

smokin' a J ......, shootin' a J..., We(knickerbockers)need to trade for a center(Ewing,Oakely type CALIBER)and A(Allan Jouston type guard.

Geez, take the propaganda to a fan blog or something. Trekphiler 07:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Who am I, mon?

He was a '98 starter, called "more Jamaican than Stella's groove". Who was he? Smokin' Joe 08:22, 19 December 2006 (UTC)pat ewing was the best

[edit] (K)nickname

I was under the impression that the team nickname is Knickerbockers named after the fictional character Father Knickerbocker and it is Knicks for short. Raul17 17:39, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

This was discussed extensively here. Punctured Bicycle 17:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] vandalism

Today I deleted this

KNICKS AND SAM AND ZACK ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe this page should go on to semiprotection Vorrion 23:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

The following quotation is from the introduction of the New York Knicks article. It seems unnecessary, or perhaps in need of citiation (certainly in need of grammatical correction): "They recently won a game where the refs screwed the other team (milwaukee bucks) just because they favor New York. They are known to be in a conspiracy with David Stern."

[edit] No Captian

Stephon Marbury is not the captain of the Knicks otherwise it would be on the website

[edit] Drafted Players

Wilson Chandler was the 2007 draft pick, not Jared Jordan. Jared Jordan was picked by the Clippers "http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4323" while Wilson Chandler was the picked by the Knicks at #23 "http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4301".

[edit] Actual Name

It says in the article that the team's name is "The Knickerbockers" but they are mostly know as the "Knicks". Isn't there official name currently the Knicks? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.68.105.22 (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Depth Chart should be removed

I believe that depth charts are very arbitrary. Players are often substitued in for positions other than those listed in the depth chart as well as in different orders. It is for this reason that i believe they serve no purpose on wikipedia. With your help, we can eliminate all the depth charts on wikipedia! Who's with me! —Preceding unsigned comment added by No compassion (talkcontribs) 03:02, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
