Talk:New York City hotels

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As it stands, the page is just an invitation to spammers. I think it should be deleted or merged within the NYC article but I will wait for other users to weigh in. There are certainly editors which would be able to write an interesting article on the history of hotels in NYC, their development, their rivalries and so on. I'm just not the person to do that and in the meantime I feel that the whole article will remain what it currently is: a soon-to-be central target of spam. Pascal.Tesson 03:58, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm tempted to prod-tag it, though I suppose it may be possible to come up with a "history of hotels in New York" as the Hotels in London article has. At the moment, it's basically duplicating what the Hotels in New York category already does. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:33, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
But that's exaclty the problem I have. This would not get consensus to delete if we tag it as AfD. We have to hunt down someone who knows enough about the subject to build someting like Hotels in London. Any ideas? Pascal.Tesson 21:13, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
IT couldn't be merged with the NYC article, which is allready long and could always be much larger but for separate NYC related article. Something like Hotels in London would be great, but I don't know how that is going to get done. - Matthew238 01:38, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I've added a request for expansion on the NYC project page and switched the importance tag to an expand tag. Hoping this will attract competent editors. Pascal.Tesson 22:31, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
