I have added information on the founding of New Plymouth and the effect on the town of the land wars of 1860-61, as well as some of the factors concerning New Plymouth settlement that helped contribute to the conflict. If the article is lacking anything substantial, it's coverage of the petrochemical industry, which has been a fairly strong economic driver since the late '70s.
