Newtownards Airport (IATA: N/AICAO: EGAD) is a local airfield in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland. It is located 15.7 kilometres (8.5 nautical miles) east of Belfast. Newtownards airport is the home of the Ulster Flying Club. The Ulster Flying Club (UFC) was founded in 1961 and over this period has grown to become Northern Ireland's largest flying school and one of the largest, non commercial training, flying organizations in Ireland.

Newtownards Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P659) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Ulster Flying Club (1961) Limited)[1].
