Newton Ferrers is a village in the civil parish of Newton and Noss in the English county of Devon, located about 6 miles south-east of Plymouth. It lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is a very wealthy community comprising affluent commutors to Plymouth and well heeled retired folk. Local modern folklore has it that together with the similar community of Noss Mayo on the opposite side of the Yealm estuary it benefits from a micro-climate different from the rest of the South Hams..
