Newswatch (Nigeria)

Newswatch is a Nigerian weekly news magazine published by Newswatch Communications Limited, a company formed by Nigerian journalists Dele Giwa, Ray Ekpu, Dan Agbese and Yakubu Mohammed in 1984. The first edition of Newswatch was distributed on January 28, 1985.
Giwa, the first editor-in-chief of Newswatch, was killed by a mail bomb in his home on October 19, 1986.
