New York reload
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"New York reload" is used to refer to the action of drawing a second gun when the first jams or runs empty, rather than reloading the first, often providing a slight speed advantage. It originated with New York City policemen who would carry a backup revolver rather than an unwieldy speed loader.
