New York State Route 366 is a west-east New York State Route located entirely in Tompkins County. It runs from State Street (NY 79) just east of downtown Ithaca to NY 38 in Freeville.
[edit] History
From Ithaca to Etna, NY 366 was the original route of present-day NY 13. The change was made when Route 13 was re-routed to service Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. Before the re-routing, the original NY 366 ran from its junction with NY 13 in Etna northeast to NY 281 in Cortlandville in Cortland County. That stretch of road, beyond present-day NY-366's terminus in Freeville, is now known as Fall Creek Road until reaching the hamlet of McLean, where it becomes School Street for a short distance, then Cortland-McLean Road, McLean Road, and finally Luker Road before ending at NY 281 (West Road) in Cortlandville.[2]
