New York State Route 258 is a very short state highway located entirely in Livingston County. It connects NY 36 and NY 63 near the south boundary of the Town of Groveland.

Route 258 begins at an intersection with New York State Route 36 in Groveland. The route heads eastward, passing fields its entire length before terminating at an intersection with New York State Route 63 in Groveland.[2]

NY 258 was once somewhat longer, extending all the way to NY 408 in the west. That portion was decommissioned in 1995 and the route was truncated to its current length.[3]
