[edit] Route description

Known as Mill Point Road, NY 161 begins at a complex intersection with NY 30A in the Glen hamlet, where Logtown Road and Auriesville Road also meet. About 1.6 miles along is a Y intersection with the southern terminus of Noeltner Road, the former NY 288 (now Montgomery County CR 164). Roughly halfway along its route, NY 161 crosses the Schoharie Creek. NY 161 ends at NY 30 in the town of Florida, south of the city of Amsterdam, north of the hamlet of Minaville.

[edit] NY 161A

NY 161 had one suffixed route, NY 161A. Route 161A was a short spur from NY 30 in Minaville to NY 161, less than a mile later.[2]
