[edit] Route description

NY 133 begins in the village of Ossining as Croton Avenue. About 0.3 miles later, NY 134 separates and heads north towards the Croton Dam while NY 133 continues east, meeting the Briarcliff-Peekskill Parkway (NY 9A) at a grade-separated junction a mile later. Beyond the junction, the road name changes to Somerstown Road. After another two miles, NY 133 meets the Taconic State Parkway at an interchange that also includes NY 100 (Saw Mill Road). NY 133 and NY 100 overlap for about 0.4 miles until NY 133 shifts to Station Road to reach NY 120 (Millwood Road) 0.5 miles later. NY 133 and NY 120 overlap for 0.5 miles until NY 120 splits off to the east with NY 133 heading north (still along Millwood Road). NY 133 travels for another 3.4 miles, intersects Seven Bridges Road (Westchester County Road 5) about midway through, until it meets the Saw Mill River Parkway in the village of Mount Kisco. Within Mount Kisco, NY 133 is routed along West Main Street and Main Street, ending at the junction with NY 117.

[edit] History

NY 133 was created in the 1930 state highway renumbering,[2] with no major changes to its alignment since then. A portion of the road used by NY 133 used to be a 19th century toll road known as the Somerstown Turnpike.
