[edit] History

NY 128 was first designated in the 1930 state highway renumbering.[2] When originally assigned, NY 128 continued south beyond NY 22 by overlapping NY 22 heading east, then continuing south along modern New York State Route 433 to the Connecticut state line. NY 128 was truncated to its current southern terminus by 1972.[citation needed]
