New York Life Insurance Company Building, located at 51 Madison Avenue, Manhattan, New York City is the last significant Cass Gilbert skyscraper in Manhattan. It was built to house the headquarters of the New York Life Insurance Company in 1928. This is the original site of Madison Square Garden as well as P.T. Barnums Hippodrome[5]

It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1972.[3][6][7]
