New York Blackout was a live Kaiju Big Battel event held at Webster Hall in Manhattan, New York on February 9, 2008.[1] The sold out crowd was treated to two championship matches, the return of Kaiju Hero, Slo Feng, and the Kaiju debut of Chris Hero. This event also featured the debut of the Kaiju Commissioner's Black Box concept, which was kept secret leading up to the event.[2]

As a result, Uchu Chu fell to a two-on-one attack.
  • Fighto 4: Dusto Bunny defeated Tucor, Super Wrong, The Zombie Plantain, and Tadd Bradley in a RoBox Robolimination Rumble to win a shot at the Kaiju Grand Championship at Danger Strikes Back. After the match, Chris Hero returned and attacked Dusto Bunny and Tadd Bradley.
  • Louden Noxious and The Poison Ivy League performed the official New York Blackout Theme entitled "NY Blackout."
  • Fighto 5: The Grudyin with Dr. Cube defeated Call-Me-Kevin. However, the match was not contested for the Kaiju Grand Championship, but rather a choice between one of two Black Boxes. One box contain the Kaiju Grand Championship while the other contained one hundred million dollars. The Grudyin accidentally chose the box with money, and as a result Call-Me-Kevin remained Kaiju Grand Champion.
