"New York, New York" is a song written and performed by American alt-country musician Ryan Adams. It appeared on his 2001 album Gold. The song's music video, showing Adams performing in front of the city's skyline, was filmed four days before the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. The song was written about an ex-girlfriend.^{[citation needed]}

"New York, New York" earned Adams a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal.

The single reached number 53 in the UK charts in December 2001.^[1]
